Reed Elsevier announced that due to family circumstances Duncan Palmer, Chief Financial Officer, has provided notice of his resignation from the boards of Reed Elsevier effective as of 25 September 2014, or such earlier date as Reed Elsevier may designate.

Inmarsat plc (LSE: ISAT.L) announced that Rick Medlock, Chief Financial Officer, has decided to leave the company in the coming months to take up a position with a private equity-owned business. Mr. Medlock has agreed to stay with Inmarsat until early 2014, to enable time for a suitable candidate to be found and to support an orderly transition.

Misys has appointed Rick Medlock as CFO. Medlock will join Misys from Inmarsat where he has been CFO since 2004. Medlock’s appointment follows the departure of former CFO Himanshu Raja, who joined Misys as recently as February, but left when security firm G4S offered him its finance chief’s post. Raja is due to start as G4S’ CFO on 7 October.

Zytronic has announced that its group finance director and company secretary Denis Mullan has stepped down. Mullan, who had held the finance director’s role since September 2003, would be replaced by group financial controller Claire Smith on an interim basis. Interim finance chief Smith has been group Financial Controller since 2007 and finance director of subsidiary Zytronic Displays Ltd since January 2012.

Gable Holdings has appointed Michael Hirschfield as group finance director. Hirschfield is currently a director at Kitwell Consultants, a firm which has been the company secretary to Gable Holdings since the insurer’s incorporation in 2005.

Premier Foods Plc (LSE: PFD) has appointed Alastair Murray as its Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 30, 2013 replacing Mark Moran who would leave the company. Most recently, Murray served as the Group Finance Director of Dairy Crest Group plc.

SDL plc announced that Matthew Knight will be stepping down from his position as Chief Financial Officer and Board Member.

Bioquell PLC (LSE: BQE) announced that Mark Bodeker, the Group’s Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer, has decided that he will resign from Bioquell to pursue other interests. He will leave the Group in March 2014 at the end of his six months’ notice period.

Artilium plc (LSE: ARTA) announced that Ricardo Ritfeld will re-enforce the Artilium management team as financial director. Ricardo Ritfeld previously was financial director Benelux for Carl Zeiss and prior to that held several senior financial management positions at DE.

iPipeline announced Ian Teague, COO/CFO, has been appointed to the position of UK Managing Director.

Enables IT, formerly Nexus Management, has appointed Mark Elliott as interim CFO. Elliott is currently a non-executive director of the firm. For the past 10 years’, he has also officiated as managing director of ICE Partners, a private equity group. Prior to that, he worked as a partner specialising in audit and corporate finance with Baker Tilly.

AquaBounty Technologies, Inc. (AIM: ABTX) announced the appointment of Rick Sterling as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. Rick Sterling is Chief Financial Officer of Intrexon, a position he has held since 2007. Prior to joining Intrexon, he was with KPMG where he worked in the audit practice for over 17 years.

TLA Worldwide plc (AIM: TLA) announced that Donald Malter has become CFO of the Company and joins its board. Donald was previously CFO (North America) for BMG Chyrsalis since 2010, a joint venture between private equity firm, KKR and European media conglomerate, Bertelsmann.  Prior to this he was CFO (North America) for Dimensional Music Publishing, LLC. Donald succeeds current CFO Gareth Jones, who is leaving the Company on or around 1 October.

Zytronic plc announced that Denis Mullan, Finance Director and Company Secretary, has stepped down from the Board, in line with his wish to retire from full time employment on his 60th birthday. Denis has held the role of Finance Director since 2003. As part of the succession process Claire Smith, who has been the Group Financial Controller since 2007 and Finance Director of the Group’s subsidiary, Zytronic Displays Limited since January 2012 will take over as Company Secretary and  Interim Finance Director with immediate effect.

Rare Earth Minerals plc (AIM: REM) announced that it has appointed Donald Strang as Finance Director of the Company. He is currently the Finance Director of Polemos plc, Stellar Resources plc and AfriAg plc and is the Non-Executive chairman of Doriemus plc.

Fircroft announced that Stuart Hall has been named CFO. Hall joins after a short stint as director at Consilia Partners. He was the CFO of Pace from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, he was the CFO of Cardiff-based IQE from 2003 to 2007. Hall has also held finance roles at Energis, WBF Ltd, Carnography and Race Electronics.

Imperial Tobacco Group PLC announced that Oliver Tant, formerly Vice Chairman of KPMG and Chairman of KPMG’s Client Council, will succeed Bob Dyrbus as Finance Director. Oliver will be appointed to the Board on 1 October and will be appointed Finance Director on 5 November, when Bob will step down from the Board before retiring from the business on 31 December.Oliver has held a number of senior positions at KPMG during a highly successful career, including Global Managing Director of the Private Equity Division and Head of UK Audit. He was also a member of the UK Board of KPMG.

ServicePower Technologies has promoted its CFO Marne Martin to CEO. Martin, who was hired as CFO in January, replaces Mark Duffin. Martin was made interim CFO in July. Prior to joining ServicePower Technologies earlier this year, Martin was the CFO of Norcon. Prior to her role at Norcon, Martin held various positions, including that of president, at East West Resources Corp from 1996 to 2007.

Tesco appointed former Reed Elsevier CFO Mark Armour as a non-executive Director. Armour joined Reed Elsevier in 1995, rising to the office of CFO by the time he left in 2012. Armour is also a non-executive director of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) and brewer SABMiller. At the latter, he is also the chairman of the audit committee.

Corero Network Security plc (AIM: CNS) announced the appointment of Andrew Miller as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, having previously been Group Chief Operating Officer.

Wishbone Gold Plc announced the non-Board appointment of Clive Hyman as Group Chief Financial Officer, with immediate effect, replacing Jonathan Harrison who will remain a director of the Company in a Non-Executive capacity.  Clive Hyman was a partner with KPMG in their London office, where he was a founding partner of KPMG’s Transaction Services businesses.  In addition, Clive was a founding partner of the private equity group.  He left the firm in 2005 to found his own consultancy business and was interim CEO/CFO for Nick and Chris Candy of Candy and Candy in 2005.  He was Group CFO of a healthcare business from July 2010 to August 2011 and became a Non-Executive and independent board member of Petrol Ofisi SA in April 2012.  He became a consultant to Black Swan PLC in April 2013 and in addition has been the Wishbone Gold PLC financial controller since that date.

Ultrasis PLC announced that Penny Tembra, who joined the Company in 2004, has been appointed to the board as Executive Director of Finance. Penny Walters Tembra is currently a director of both Utopia Valley Ltd and Trimantic Ltd.

Gamucci appointed Peter Jordan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Peter has more than twenty years’ experience in senior financial, commercial and management roles, the majority in the tobacco industry with Rothmans International and British American Tobacco.

Silverdell plc announced that Mark Hazlewood joined the Board as Chief Financial Officer.  Ian Johnson, former Chief Financial Officer, has stepped down from the Board and will leave the Company following an appropriate handover period. Mr Hazlewood was most recently at May Gurney Integrated Services PLC which he joined in November 2011 as Group Development Director and of which he was latterly Group Finance Director, until that company’s acquisition by Kier Group PLC in July 2013. Having qualified with Coopers & Lybrand as a Chartered Accountant in 1996, Mr Hazlewood joined South Staffordshire Group PLC in 1997, becoming Director of Finance in 2000.  He then joined Homeserve PLC following its demerger from South Staffordshire Group plc, firstly as Director of Group Business Development and latterly as Finance Director.  Mr Hazlewood then joined Anglian Home Improvements Group as Group Commercial Director prior to joining May Gurney.

Verona Pharma plc (AIM: VRP.L) announced the appointment of Richard Bungay as Chief Financial Officer, initially on a part-time basis, with immediate effect. Richard is currently part-time CEO of Chroma Therapeutics Ltd, a VC-backed biotechnology company, having previously been the CFO of the Company. Prior to this he was Director of Corporate Communications and Strategic Planning at Celltech Group plc until its acquisition by UCB in 2004. This followed time at AstraZeneca as Finance Director within the Respiratory and Inflammation Therapy Area. He moved there in 1998 from Celltech where he was Financial Controller. Verona Pharma’s previous CFO, Danny Lowe, who is based in Canada, will work closely with Richard for an interim period ensuring a thorough handover.

AXA UK announced that Bertrand Poupart-Lafarge has become the UK Group’s Chief Financial Officer. He takes over from Jean Drouffe who will shortly take up a leadership position in AXA France. He worked for AXA in France, the USA and Canada, where he was also Chief Financial Officer.

Spirent Communications plc (LSE: SPT) announced that Bill Burns, Chief Executive Officer, has stepped down. Eric Hutchinson, Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer whilst continuing to oversee our highly experienced finance team.

G4S announced that Himanshu Raja, current CFO of Misys plc, will be joining the board of G4S plc as an executive director in the role of Chief Financial Officer on 7 October 2013.  He will also serve as a member of the Risk Committee. Prior to joining Misys, he held a number of senior roles at BT Group plc before becoming CFO at Logica plc in 2011.

CPPGroup Plc announced the appointment of Craig Parsons as Chief Financial Officer. Craig has held a senior role in CPP’s Group finance function since 2002, his most recent position being Director Tax & Treasury, and in this capacity he sat on the Group Executive Committee and Group Operating Committee. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 1995.
